Associate Editor: The Carlton
With a unique blend of performance poetry and alternative comedy in his repertoire, The Carlton’s originally from Upstate New York where He was born of carnies and con artists. This sensibility created a mouthy little punk kid that was a little too bright for His own good who, somehow along the way became a mouthy older dude who’s a little too tired all the time for His own good. Former writer for mediocre cable television, The Carlton’s been all over, often preferring places poets aren’t traditionally invited. From co-producing Popcorn Poetry, being the director of the Monroe County Poet Laureate Program to Associate Editor of Nobody Thoughts, as an organizer, Carlton tries to foster art and culture in our local community while still holding his own values in tact. It’s as much of a chore as you’d think it is. Probably more.
